The reputation of Pieter (also Pierre) Bustijn (Middelburg, 1649? - 1729), Dutch composer and organist, is due to the publication of the 9 Suittes pour le Clavessin by Roger Etienne. This fact brought these compositions under the sight of famous composers of his time, see J.S. Bach, J.G. Walther and certainly many others. The suites are in traditional form (Prelude, Allemanda, Corrente, Sarabanda, Giga) including a couple of Gavottas, a Bourée, 3 Airs and the final Menuet. Interesting is to note that in a couple of pieces we can find the the exact cells that Bach will then develop in his Inventions and Sinfonias.
° Dynamic range (DR, see Pleasurize Music Foundation): a value expressed in dB and provided by a specific algorythm certifying a dynamic sound on the recording; best values for classical music have to be ranged between 9 and 14+.
