Biography:

Diana Bonatesta, born in 1983, began the study of the violin at 4 y.o. At 10 she attended the viola course at the Conservatory of Rome and degreed in both courses (I, II) with P. Centurioni and M. Burton. She also earned the 'Diploma di Alto Perfezionamento' of chamber music under the guidance of Rocco Filippini and in viola with M. Paris. In 2011 she obtained the scholarship entitled to Giorgio Sinopoli and received from the hands of President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano as the best Italian graduate of the year. She attended the school of high perfection at the Stauffer foundation in Cremona and at the Chigiana Academy in Siena under B. Giuranna. She also attended at the international couses at the Hochschule fur Musik und Tanz in Colonia, with the Alban Berg Quartet, and the masterclasses of Trio di Trieste with M. Jones and E. Bronzi.

She is the founder of the Quartetto Avos. In 2009 with the quartet, she won the most prestigious prizes in Italy including the "ACM Trio di Trieste", the "Premio Gui", "Salieri-Zinetti", and performed at "La Fenice" in Venice and many other important theatres in Italy, Holland, Japan (two tournčes). In 2011 the quartet has recorded the piano quartets by Camille Saint-Saens and by Wolfgang A. Mozart in two discs (OnClassical label). The Saint-Saens recording has also been licensed for the renowned label Brilliant Classics. With the quartet she also gained other honors including the "Diploma d'onore" from the Chigiana Academy won in the past by only few artists such as Uto Ughi and Ignacio Achucarro.

Born in Rome in 1988, Arianna Bonatesta, began the studio of the pianoforte when she was very young playing her first recital at 9 y.o. She degreed on both levels (I, II) at the Conservatory 'S. Caecilia' in Rome under the guide of A. Tramma and C. Guiaitoli and partecipates to various chamber music masterclasses with Michele Campanella, Sergio Perticaroli, Benedetto Lupo, Alexander Lonquich, Ignacio Achucarro, Bruno Canino, the Trio di Trieste, the Ars Trio of Rome, amongst others.

In 2010 she founded the Amarté Quintet with whom she won the first prizes at the Rospigliosi and Magliano national competitions. With his sister, Diana Bonatesta, has founded the Runya Duo who debuts with the recording, made for OnClassical (licensed for Aevea), of the viola and pianoforte compositions of English composer Rebecca Clarke.
